As part of our recent new menu launch (more to follow on our food menu in next weeks blog!) we have updated our drinks offerings here at the Appleby Inn Hotel!
As the market for a wider range of spirits grows and the demand for a greater selection of new drink options across the licensed trade increases we have responded by broadening our selection. We have always been renowned for our quality of draught beers and ciders, our cask ales especially drawing high praise from regular customers and Camra associates. The current two cask ales are local favourite Marston’s Pedigree and the increasingly popular Sharp’s Doom Bar. Two new ciders now available are Stowford Press and a personal favourite of mine Aspall Suffolk Cyder, beautifully refreshing in the recent warm weather we are enjoying! Stella Artois has been installed as our premium lager.
In recent time customers ordering sprits have taken a turn away from tried and tested brands as they seek fresh tastes from differing brands, leading the revolution is Gin. We were keen to update our Gin selection to offer a host of new drink options. We welcome to our range Bathtub Old Tom, Tanqueray and Gin Lane 1751 Pink – a gin boasting a bold, savoury flavour with a subtle pink appearance. We now offer a choice of delicious Fever Tree Tonic to accompany your gin, best served over ice with appropriate garnish!
Our wine list has been re-worked to bring you some new offerings of white, red and rose wine. A delicious light and zesty Sauvignon Blanc and a smooth and fruity Merlot from the Jack Rabbit range is available by the glass, as is Jack Rabbit’s Pinot Grigio Rose for those who like a less sweet, crisper rose wine. Italia Prosecco is introduced in smaller 20cl bottles, served in a miniature ice bucket your drink will be perfectly chilled and will look perfect for an Instagram post, don’t forget to tag the appleby_inn!
There are many more changes to our new drinks options including premium vodkas such as Belvedere and Skyy, classic rum with Havana Club 3YO and superb single malt whiskeys such as Oban 14YO. Don’t forget the new soft drinks amongst all the mention of alcohol! Britvic 100 Pressed Apple Juice, Pepsi Max and the new J2O Spritz range are now stocked.
